Dancers First

Inspiring Excellence

Dancers First offers a unique connection to the incredible passion and dedication of the dancers of The National Ballet of Canada. Donors to Dancers First help provide the resources that support our roster of dancers in every aspect of their career-training, performance and well-being. In return, Dancers First donors enjoy aligning their support with a particular dancer and experiencing the rewards of inspiring their every success on stage.

In addition, the programme present the Rolex Dancers First award each year which recognizes extraordinary performances. The award is open to all company members, with one recipient annually.

"Every time I watch a National Ballet performance I am enchanted by the incredible beauty and endless possibilities of what our dancers can do and by how compelling and engaging their performances are. This joy and pride is magnified as a result of my gifts through Dancers First, a programme that enables a deeper appreciation of the company and its remarkable artists." Gretchen Ross, Chair, Dancers First
