Dance About

The National Ballet of Canada’s Dance About has been going into schools for over 40 years. It is an opportunity for children from various socio-economic backgrounds and cultures to experience classical ballet in their own environment, making the art form more accessible to them.

The magical world of professional ballet is demystified right before your eyes as your gymnasium becomes the setting for a special ballet performance. Four dancers, a piano accompanist, a narrator and a behind the scenes crew, highlight the beauty and expression of ballet through a selection of dances straight from The National Ballet of Canada’s repertoire. Pointe Shoes, make-up, mime, as well as the exquisite costumes make this a performance not to be missed.
