West Side Story Suite Opens June 4

The Summer Mixed programme features a Jerome Robbins' double bill, West Side Story Suite and Opus 19/The Dreamer and a world premiere by Jorma Elo. The two pieces by Robbins show his enormous range: West Side Story Suite is sheer, effervescent fun, while Opus 19/The Dreamer, set to Prokofiev, is cool, studied elegance. Elo’s work is renowned for its speed and physicality, an intricate fusion of the classical and the contemporary that is hugely rewarding for dancers and audience alike.
