Making their debuts in The National Ballet of Canada's timeless classic The Sleeping Beauty are newest Principal Dancer Bridgett Zehr and First Soloist Jillian Vanstone, both as Princess Aurora, and Piotr Stanczyk as Prince Florimund. The principal casting and performance schedule will be announced shortly on national.ballet.ca.
The Sleeping Beauty opens November 13, 2009. Don’t miss your chance to see this landmark production originally staged by Rudolf Nureyev.

Jerome Robbins' Glass Pieces is set to the haunting minimalist ruminations of Philip Glass and was an audience favourite when it made its company premiere in 2007.
Just announced, Aszure Barton's world premiere is titled WATCH HER and is presented with Glass Pieces and George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments, November 25 to 29, 2009.

Company News
Second Soloist Alejandra Perez-Gomez and singer/songwriter Katherine Wheatley will work with students at Laurelwood Public School in Waterloo in Creating a Song, Creating a Dance on November 3 & 4, 2009. The programme is a collaboration between The National Ballet of Canada and the Songwriters Association of Canada and is an expansion of the successful Exploring Ballet in-class workshops.
Principal Dancer Guillaume Côté will dance in Kings of the Dance in their tour of Russia, November 22 – December 3, 2009.
Corps de Ballet member Naoya Ebe performed Bastard Fugue, a solo choreographed by former Corps de Ballet member Jacob Niedzwiecki as part of Fresh Blood, hosted by The Chimera Project at the Enwave Theatre on October 29, 2009.
Corps de Ballet member Krista Dowson was in New York City on October 19 & 20 modelling wedding gowns in Justina McCaffrey's most recent fashion show.

The Young Centre for the Performing Arts in the Distillery Historic District presents two of Canada's most sublime contemporary dancers in performance this November.
Andrea Nann presents a retrospective of her choreography called Tumbling Dice, Uncollected Dances by Andrea Nann and Friends November 11 - 14. The programme offers an eclectic and intimate evening of short dances, songs and poetry. Singer/songwriters Andrew Cash and Jason Collett, Erhu virtuoso George Gao, dancer Brendan Wyatt and other special guests share the stage with Ms. Nann.
Claudia Moore presents Dances in a Small Room November 25 – December 5 featuring world premieres by Tedd Robinson and James Kudelka performed by Ms. Moore and Dan Wild.
