Education Sponsorships

Education Sponsorships

The National Ballet believes that dance and the arts are integral to the development and education of children and youth. Devoted to community outreach and education, programmes are delivered to a wide demographic, from ballet fans to novices, from special community groups to children and students. These programs convey the pleasure and value of creativity and imagination as embodied by the art of dance.

Every year, the National Ballet embarks on many of these projects to promote dance and make it more accessible. Aligning your corporation with an education initiative allows both organizations to target a young demographic and provide greater value to the community. We are all enriched by supporting the enhancement of education for young generations.

Benefits of Education Sponsorships include:

  •     Association with the National Ballet
  •     Community engagement
  •     Media Exposure
  •     Access to National Ballet artists
  •     Trailing benefits throughout the season

Scotiabank’s commitment to Canadian communities

"The National Ballet is a Canadian treasure and we are proud to again demonstrate our support." - Sabi Marwah, Vice-Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Scotiabank

The National Ballet of Canada has been fortunate to have the support of Scotiabank for the last 22 years. Over the past two decades, the National Ballet’s partnership with Scotiabank has evolved and expanded from their annual support as a corporate donor to more targeted funding of various special projects.

Scotiabank generously supported the national HD simulcast of The Nutcracker in 2007 and regularly provides support for MAD HOT, the National Ballet’s annual fundraising gala. Since 2006, Scotiabank has made a significant impact through its generous sponsorship of Dance About, the National Ballet’s longest-running education and outreach initiative.

“Scotiabank is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work, both in Canada and around the world,” says Mr. Marwah. “We support initiatives that give our customers and communities the opportunity to experience the richness that life has to offer. Sponsoring Dance About is a great fit for Scotiabank’s Corporate Social Responsibility community commitment.”
