Biography
Jack Bertinshaw was born in Sydney, Australia. He began dancing at the age of 11 and trained at RGDANCE and Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in Sydney, Australia and the Tanz Akademie Zürich. Mr. Bertinshaw joined The National Ballet of Canada’s Apprentice Programme in 2011.
As a student, Mr. Bertinshaw danced in The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, pas de trios from Swan Lake, La Fille mal gardée, Vaslav, Satanella and Polar Express.
Mr. Bertinshaw was a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne in 2011. He received the Mary Day Artistry Award at the Youth America Grand Prix and the Sliver Medal at the Tanzolymp in 2010.
