Biography
Elizabeth Marrable was born in Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa.
She trained at Canada’s National Ballet School
and joined The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in
2008.
Ms.
Marrable’s repertoire includes The
Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Onegin, The Nutcracker, Cinderella,
Don Quixote, The Seagull, The Four
Temperaments, Theme and Variations
and Glass Pieces.
She
also performed in the world premiere of Romeo
and Juliet by Alexei Ratmansky and in the North American premiere of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by
Christopher Wheeldon.
During
her training, she danced in La Sylphide,
Raymonda pas de deux and Variations
and in 2008, she performed in The Banff Centre’s Summer Arts Festival.
Ms.
Marrable was awarded the Christopher Ondaatje Prize in 2007.
