Giorgio Galli was born in Carate Brianza, Italy.
He trained at La Scala Ballet School in Milan
and The Royal Ballet School in London.
Mr. Galli joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2009 and
joined the Corps de Ballet in 2010.
Mr. Galli repertoire includes the role of Laertes and Horatio
in Hamlet, Diamond Man in The Sleeping Beauty and Fox and Icicle
in The Nutcracker. His repertoire
also includes Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Cinderella, Onegin, Don Quixote, Alice’s Adventures
in Wonderland, The Seagull, La Fille mal gardée, Elite Syncopations, The Four Seasons,Theme and
Variations, the second detail, West Side Story Suite, Emergence and Chroma. Recently, Mr. Galli danced in the Canadian premiere of
Nijinsky by John Neumeier.
During his training, Mr. Galli received a full scholarship to
The Royal Ballet School. He was awarded the Worshipful Company of Gold and
Silver Wyre Drawers Award, the Choreographic Development Award and the John
McAsIan Family Trust Prize.
