Biography
Jackson Dwyer was born in Montréal, Québec. He trained
at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany
and Canada’s National Ballet School.
Mr. Dwyer joined The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de
Ballet in 2011.
Mr. Dwyer’s repertoire includes Cinderella, The Sleeping
Beauty, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Onegin, La Fille mal gardée,
The Seagull, Theme and Variations and
Elite Syncopations.
He recently danced in the world premiere of Romeo and Juliet by Alexei Ratmansky and
the North American premieres of Alice’s
Adventures in Wonderland by Christopher Wheeldonand Hamlet by Kevin O’Day.
In 2011, Mr. Dwyer performed as a guest artist at the
Indianapolis City Ballet: Young Stars of Ballet Gala. He was a National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts YoungArts
Week Finalist in 2010 and received the Peter Dwyer Award and the Lawrence
Haskett Scholarship in 2009.
