Biography

Jackson Dwyer was born in Montréal, Québec and trained at the John Cranko School in Germany and Canada’s National Ballet School. Mr. Dwyer joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2010 and became a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2011.   

Mr. Dwyer’s repertoire includes Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Onegin, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, La Fille mal gardée, Nijinsky, The Seagull, The Four Seasons, Opus 19/The Dreamer,  Watch her, Theme and Variations, Hamlet, Elite Syncopations and Carmen. 

In 2011, Mr. Dwyer performed as a guest artist at the Indianapolis City Ballet: Young Stars of Ballet Gala and was a finalist at The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts YoungArts Week in 2010. He also received the Peter Dwyer Award and the Lawrence Haskett Scholarship in 2009 while a student at Canada’s National Ballet School.
