Biography

Jackson Dwyer was born in Montréal, Québec. He trained at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany and Canada’s National Ballet School. Mr. Dwyer joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2010 and joined the Corps de Ballet in 2011.  

Mr. Dwyer’s repertoire includes Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Onegin, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, La Fille mal gardée, The Seagull, Hamlet, Carmen, The Four Seasons, Theme and Variations and Elite Syncopations. He recently danced in the Canadian premiere of Nijinsky by John Neumeier. 

In 2011, Mr. Dwyer performed as a guest artist at the Indianapolis City Ballet: Young Stars of Ballet Gala. He was a National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts YoungArts Week Finalist in 2010 and received the Peter Dwyer Award and the Lawrence Haskett Scholarship in 2009.
