Biography
James Applewhite was born in Sacramento, California. He trained at American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York City, the Howard W. Blake High School for the Performing Arts and America’s Ballet School, both in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Applewhite became a YOU dance Apprentice in 2010 and joined The National Ballet of Canada in 2012.
Mr. Applewhite’s repertoire includes The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella,
Don Quixote, The Nutcracker and La Fille
mal gardée. He performed in the world premiere of Alexei Ratmansky’s Romeo and Juliet and the North American
premiere of Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s
Adventures in Wonderland.
