Biography

Krista Dowson’s hometown is Simcoe, Ontario and she trained at Canada’s National Ballet School before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2002.

Ms. Dowson has danced role of the Stepsister in Cinderella and Baba in The Nutcracker. Her repertoire includes The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle, Onegin, La Fille mal gardée, The Taming of the Shrew, The Seagull, Carmen, Jewels, Serenade, Theme and Variations, The Four Temperaments, Opus 19/The Dreamer, Mozartiana, Symphony in C,The Four Seasons, Glass Pieces and Emergence.  

Recently, Ms. Dowson danced in the world premiere of Romeo and Juliet by Alexei Ratmansky and in the North American premiere of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
