Born in Toronto, Kaitlin Standeven spent her formative years in White Rock, BC, studying and performing with the Visions Dance Company youth ensemble, under the direction of Susie Green. She continued her studies at Ryerson University’s BFA program, graduating with Honours in 2009.
A member of Toronto Dance Theatre since 2006, Standeven has been a collaborator in the creation of four new works by Artistic Director Christopher House and has had the privilege of working with such choreographers as Carol Anderson, Valerie Calam, Deborah Dunn, Deborah Hay, Laurence Lemieux, Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh and Christoph Winkler. Independently she has performed with Typecast Dance Company and has worked for and assisted Stacey Tookey.
