Jenna Savella was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and
trained at Lavrova Classical Ballet Academy in Surrey, British
Columbia and Canada’s National Ballet School. She joined The National Ballet of
Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2004 and was promoted to Second Soloist in 2009.
Ms. Savella’s repertoire includes Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Bronislava in Nijinsky, Autumn in The Four Seasons, Italian and Spanish Princess in Swan Lake and Second, Third and Fifth
Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty as well
as roles in Romeo and Juliet, Alice’s
Adventures in Wonderland, Cinderella, Onegin, Don
Quixote, An Italian Straw Hat, Hamlet,
Symphony in C, The Four Temperaments, The Four Seasons, Russian Seasons, Emergence and the second detail. Recently,

Ms. Savella received the David Tory Award in 2014 and the
National Ballet’s Patron Award of Merit in 2007 and 2006. She was also the
recipient of a British Columbia Arts Council Scholarship and the Vancouver
