When Principal Dancer Jurgita Dronina stepped onto the stage for the first time in 20 months, she knew it was a unique moment. “The feeling of coming home,” she said, “this is where my soul is, it is so special.”

Indeed every audience member who watched The National Ballet of Canada perform once again shared in Jurgita’s anticipation, excitement, joy and sense of homecoming.

Donor generosity and the commitment of subscribers helped Jurgita and the entire company weather the challenges of the pandemic, and as a result, we were prepared to return to the stage to perform for you.
