Meet a Dancer: Skylar Campbell
March 15, 2019

From surfing and skateboarding to ballet, our latest Meet a Dancer video tells how Skylar Campbell found his way to the stage.

Born in Laguna Beach, California, Skylar trained with Victor and Tatiana Kasatsky in Orange County, California and joined the National Ballet in 2009. He was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2018. Skylar came to ballet later than most dancers. In fact he spent most of his early days skateboarding, enjoying water sports and even drumming! At the age of 14, Skylar saw a dance gala and fell in love with the artform. It was that moment he knew that dance was something he wanted to do professionally.
