Summer Dance Intensive

A great opportunity for young dancers to learn from the best!

The National Ballet of Canada’s Summer Dance Intensive offers young dance students the opportunity to learn from professional dancers and other guest artists. From ballet and classical repertoire to contemporary, hip hop and more, your young dancers will experience a full and extensive range of movement training with supportive and inspiring instructors. All classes will run in person in 2022. Students must show proof of full vaccination to attend.

Junior Level

Age & Requirements Dance students ages 8 – 11 or students with a minimum of 3 years of dance training. 
Date Monday, July 4 – Friday, July 15 (10 days), 2022
Time 9:30 am – 3:00 pm
Classes Offered Ballet, Repertoire, Contemporary, Hip Hop and more
Fee $850.00

Please note, cancellation with a refund must be applied for no later then June 3, 2022. A cancellation fee of $100.00 will be applied.

Senior Level

Age & Requirements Dance students ages 12 – 19 or students with a minimum of 5 years of dance training. 
Date Monday, July 4 – Friday, July 15 (10 days), 2022
Time 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
Classes Offered Ballet, Repertoire, Contemporary, Hip Hop and more
Fee $1000.00

Please note, cancellation with a refund must be applied for no later then June 3, 2022. A cancellation fee of $100.00 will be applied.

Summer Dance Intensive View Gallery

Attendance and Cleaning Protocols

  • All clients will be required to show proof of vaccination and 1 government-issued photo ID to show to reception upon each entry, as we will not be storing vaccine information in our system(s), subject to change.
  • All clients will be required to complete the required COVID screening by scanning the QR code on the front door before entering the Walter Carsen Centre. After completing the required screening please show the receptionist your “safe to enter” checkmark and provide them with your name and class you are registered to attend.
  • Please wear a mask at all times when inside the building.
  • Changerooms and washrooms are available, but please adhere to social distancing measures at all times.
  • For Ballet classes, sanitizing wipes will be provided to wipe the surface of the barre where you stand. Where possible, we encourage you to wipe the barre(s) before and after use.
  • Please ensure you are keeping a safe distance throughout your classes
  • The National Ballet has extensive cleaning and sanitation protocols based on Public Health Guidelines
  • All instructors and accompanists are fully vaccinated and will be wearing masks throughout the classes
