Vaccination and Safety Policy:

This season, The Nutcracker will be slightly modified to ensure the safety of audiences, artists and staff. This year, all the children’s roles will be performed by students of Canada’s National Ballet School, with no external performers. All of the children in the production will be 12 years old and up and all performers and crew will be fully vaccinated. Additionally, the roles of the Cannon Dolls will not be performed by celebrity guests this year.

Patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination along with government issued ID upon entering the Four Seasons Centre to attend a performance by The National Ballet of Canada. Children under 12 must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test, taken no more than 48 hours before the performance, or a negative PCR test, taken no more 72 hours before the performance. An email confirmation, paper receipt, or screenshot/photo of the receipt will be accepted and must be shown when arriving at the theatre. Rapid antigen tests are available at Shoppers Drug Mart. Please note: At home rapid antigen tests will not be accepted and the negative test result is required even for children who have received their first dose of the vaccine. Tickets for children under the age of 12 will be discounted to offset the cost of the test.
