The Dreamers Ever Leave You Postponed

Ontario Government Imposes New Restrictions Today

October 9, 2020… Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, and Executive Director Barry Hughson today announced that performances of The Dreamers Ever Leave You by Choreographic Associate Robert Binet at Harbourfront Centre will be postponed to a later date.

Due to the increase in the COVID-19 infection rate, the Ontario Government announced today new restrictions on public gatherings, including performance venues, in Toronto, Ottawa and Peel as of midnight tonight. In accordance with these new guidelines, today’s performances will proceed as planned however all remaining performances will be postponed. New performance dates will be announced shortly and all ticketholders will be contacted in the coming days.

“We are very disappointed that our first live performances since March must be postponed but we are fully committed to adhering to all Ontario Public Health guidelines and the safety of our artists and audiences remains our foremost priority. We will continue to find ways to inspire audiences virtually and, when safe to do so, look forward to performing live again,” said Mr. Hughson.

The National Ballet will be sharing digital content and dance through the virtual season with Spotlight Series coming this November. Stay tuned.
