It is with great sadness that the National Ballet acknowledges the passing of former company doctor, longtime donor and Patron Council member, Dr. Robert James (Jim) Wheler, on August 10, 2018 in his 86th year. Born and raised in Toronto Dr. Wheler enjoyed a busy family practice in Weston for 35 years. In addition, Dr. Wheler acted as the Medical Director of York University for 23 years and was the Attending Physician for the National Ballet for 27 years. Dr. Wheler will be remembered fondly and his presence at the theatre will be greatly missed.
