William Yong is a multi-faceted artist and award-winning choreographer, performer and director for dance, theatre and film. He is currently Artistic Director of Zata Omm and W Zento Production. He trained and received his master's degree with distinction at London Contemporary Dance School in the UK. Companies that he previously worked for include Wayne McGregor's Random Dance and Matthew Bourne’s Adventures in Motion Pictures, Côté Danse, Canadian Stage, Against The Grain, Toronto Dance Theatre, Peggy Baker Dance Projects, Fila 13 and many others in Canada. William's professional career spans over 28 years. He has performed in 75 cities within 15 countries. He has created more than one hundred original works worldwide. William and his stage works have received 10 Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations and his films have been awarded Best Cinematography, Award of Excellence and Best Experimental Shorts at seven prestigious international film festivals.
