Brent Parolin was born in Prince George, British Columbia and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School and the John Cranko School in Germany. Mr. Parolin danced with Stuttgart Ballet as a Demi Soloist before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2014. Mr. Parolin was promoted to Second Soloist in 2015.
Recently, Mr. Parolin’s debuted as Father/The King of Hearts in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. His repertoire includes Icicle in The Nutcracker and roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Cinderella, Onegin, The Winter’s Tale, Nijinsky, The Merry Widow, A Streetcar Named Desire, Le Petit Prince, Pinocchio, La Sylphide, Manon, Chroma, Carousel (A Dance), Piano Concerto #1, The Four Seasons, The Second Detail, Approximate Sonata 2016, Emergence, Cacti, Being and Nothingness, Paz de la Jolla and Night.
His repertoire with Stuttgart Ballet includes Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet and Des Grieux in The Lady of the Camellias as well as roles in The Four Temperaments and The Taming of the Shrew.
As a choreographer, Mr. Parolin created three new works for Stuttgart Ballet’s Noverre-Society’s Young Choreographers: Slight Erosion (2010), Absolute (2011) and 3 Grad (2013).
