Biography

Erika Delponte was born in Moncalieri, Italy and trained at Teatro alla Scala Ballet School in Italy. Ms. Delponte danced with Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Semperoper Ballet Dresden, Estonian National Ballet and The Hong Kong Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2015.

With the National Ballet, Ms. Delponte has performed in Swan Lake, Onegin, Cinderella, Pinocchio, The Concert, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Giselle, La Sylphide, The Winter’s Tale, Le Petit Prince, A Streetcar Named Desire and The Four Temperaments. Ms. Delponte’s repertoire with other companies includes Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quioxte, Cinderella, The Nutcracker and Serenade. As a Guest Artist, she performed with The Royal Ballet of Flanders in La Bayadère and Tyll choreographed by Alexander Ekman.
