Biography

Ethan Watts was born in San Francisco, California and trained at San Francisco Ballet School and at The Academy of Ballet San Francisco in California. He joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2013 and became a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2014.

Mr. Watts roles include Stiva in Anna Karenina and Uncle Nikolai and an Icicle in The Nutcracker, Rothbart in Swan Lake and the lead role in Carousel (A Dance). His repertoire also includes roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Cinderella, Onegin, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Winter’s Tale, Nijinsky, The Merry Widow, Le Petit Prince, Pinocchio, A Streetcar Named Desire, Manon, La Sylphide, The Dream, The Man in Black, Piano Concerto #1, Being and Nothingness, Paz de la Jolla and Night.
 
In 2015, Mr. Watts represented the National Ballet in The International Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize.
