Biography

Mallory Mehaffey was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and trained at the Fort Bend Academy of Dance and the Houston Ballet Academy. Ms. Mehaffey danced with Houston Ballet II and Houston Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2017.

Ms. Mehaffey’s repertoire includes Nijinsky, The Winter’s Tale, The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty. Ms. Mehaffey’s repertoire with Houston Ballet includes Serenade, Velocity, La Bayadere, Ballet Imperial, Ballo della Regina, Swan Lake and Artifact Suite.

During her training, Ms. Mehaffey received scholarships to attend both The School of American Ballet Summer Program in New York City and the Houston Ballet Summer Program. In 2012, Ms. Mehaffey was invited to Lausanne, Switzerland to perform Stanton Welch’s A Dance in The Garden of Mirth at Prix de Lausanne. She was also selected to train under Anna-Marie Holmes at Jacob’s Pillow in Massachusetts.
