Biography

Nan Wang was born in Dalian, China and trained at the Xu Yan Dance School in China, the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, British Columbia and Canada’s National Ballet School. Mr. Wang joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2004 and became a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2005.

Mr. Wang’s repertoire includes Benno in Swan Lake, Diamond Man in The Sleeping Beauty, Prince Gremin in Onegin and Icicle in The Nutcracker as well as roles in Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Cinderella, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Nijinsky, Anna Karenina, A Streetcar Named Desire, Le Petit Prince, Pinocchio, The Seagull, Manon, Hamlet, The Dream, The Four Seasons, The Four Temperaments, Polyphonia, The Concert, Genus, Symphony #9, Emergence, Being and Nothingness and Night.

In 2008, Mr. Wang was awarded the Patron Award of Merit by the Patron’s Council Committee of The National Ballet of Canada. In 2004, he was a guest artist with the Bermuda Civic Ballet and in 2009 he joined Goh Ballet on their China tour.
