Biography

Shené Lazarus was born in Durban, South Africa and trained at Prudence Bowen Atelier in Bonogin, Australia and San Francisco Ballet School in California. Shené danced with San Francisco Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2019.

Her repertoire with the National Ballet includes The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Etudes, The Dreamers Ever Leave You and Orpheus Alive. With San Francisco Ballet, she has performed in Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Don Quixote, Balanchine’s Coppélia, Diamonds, Serenade, Liam Scarlett’s Frankenstein, Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella, Opus 19 and Helgi Thomasson’s Haffner Symphony.
