Hair & Make Up Assistant Coordinator (Part Time Contract)

The National Ballet of Canada is one of the most exciting, innovative arts institutions in Canada, and is regularly ranked among the top ten ballet companies in the world. Established by founder Celia Franca in 1951.

Working in the Wardrobe department this position will help coordinate, style, and prepare the wig and make up needs for productions.

This is a part-time contract running from February 18, 2020 to May 15, 2020

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Wig Styling for New Productions
  • Maintenance of Existing Wigs and Facial Hair
  • Organizing and Documenting Production Related Documents
  • Organization and Maintenance of the hair and make up room
 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with wig styling for theatre or film
  • Knowledge of historical hair styles would be an asset
  • Knowledge of theatre production process would be considered and asset
