Loquasto captured the essence of Belle Époque Paris for An Italian Straw Hat with a set design featuring hot air balloons, fin-de-siècle style buildings and the Eiffel Tower.

Adding to the sets and scenery, Loquasto designed some whimsical costumes for the ballet, all of which were in black and white.  Different fashions, fabrics, and patterns – checks, stripes, plaids and florals – provide lots of variety.
