Biography
Asiel Rivero was born in Matanzas, Cuba. He trained at the Cuban National School of Ballet. He became an YOU dance Apprentice with The National Ballet of Canada in 2010 and joined the company in 2012.
Mr.
Rivero’s repertoire includes The Sleeping
Beauty, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote and La Fille mal gardée. He danced in the world
premiere of Romeo and Juliet by
Alexei Ratmansky and the North American premiere of Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
