Biography
Nan Wang was born in Dalian, China
where he trained at the Xu Yan Dance School. He also trained at the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver
and Canada’s National Ballet School.
Mr. Wang joined The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de
Ballet in 2005.
Mr. Wang's repetoire includes Swan Lake, The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, The Four Temperaments and Polyphonia.
Mr. Wang danced in the world premieres of Watch her, Wolf’s Court and Emergence. He also performed in the North
American premieres of Alice’s Adventures
in Wonderland, The Seagull and Carmen.
In 2008, Mr. Wang was awarded the Patron
Award of Merit by the Patron’s Council Committee of The National Ballet of
Canada. In 2004, he was a guest artist with the Bermuda Civic Ballet and in
2009 he joined Goh Ballet on their China tour.
