Jeannine Haller was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and trained at Place des Arts in Coquitlam, British Columbia and Canada’s National Ballet School. Jeannine joined The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2015 and was promoted to First Soloist in 2021.
Most recently, Jeannine made her debut in the title role of Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Olga in John Cranko’s Onegin. Her repertoire includes Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Polyhymnia in Apollo, Neapolitan Princess and Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, Russian Girl in Serenade, Third Movement Principal in Concerto and Queen of the Dryads in Don Quixote. She has also danced roles in Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Onegin, The Winter’s Tale, Nijinsky, Anna Karenina, The Merry Widow, A Streetcar Named Desire, Pinocchio, La Sylphide, The Dream, Paquita, The Four Seasons, The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, Piano Concerto #1, The Concert, Cacti, Emergence, Angels’ Atlas, Etudes, Anima Animus, Diamonds, Emeralds, Suite en Blanc, Chaconne, Symphony in C, Paz de la Jolla, The Collective Agreement, Frame by Frame, Orpheus Alive and On Solid Ground.
In 2019, Jeannine represented the National Ballet in The International Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize. In 2016, she was awarded the RBC Apprentice Award.
