Jeannine Haller was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and trained at Place des Arts in Coquitlam, British Columbia and Canada’s National Ballet School. Jeannine joined The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2015 and was promoted to First Soloist in 2021.
Most recently, Jeannine made her debut as Myrtha in Sir Peter Wright’s Giselle. Her repertoire includes Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, the title role in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Olga in Onegin, Russian Princess, Neapolitan Princess and Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, Queen of the Dryads in Don Quixote, Russian Girl in Serenade, Third Movement Principal in Symphony in C, and Third Movement Principal in Concerto and Polyhymnia in Apollo. Jeannine has also danced roles in Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Onegin, The Winter’s Tale, Nijinsky, Anna Karenina, The Merry Widow, A Streetcar Named Desire, Pinocchio, La Sylphide, The Dream, Paquita, The Four Seasons, The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, Piano Concerto #1, The Concert, Cacti, Emergence, Angels’ Atlas, Etudes, Anima Animus, Diamonds, Emeralds, Suite en Blanc, Rhapsody, Chaconne, Paz de la Jolla, The Collective Agreement, Frame by Frame, Orpheus Alive, On Solid Ground and King’s Fall.
In 2019, Jeannine represented the National Ballet in The International Competition for The Erik Bruhn Prize. In 2016, she was awarded the RBC Apprentice Award.
