Overview

The National Ballet of Canada has been home to hundreds of dancers, musicians and staff since its inception in 1951. The company offers special alumni ticket prices and invites alumni to stay in touch and be part of the National Ballet's history by donating materials related to the company.

75th Anniversary Alumni Event

The National Ballet of Canada celebrates its 75th anniversary this season! Alumni members are invited to the very special Opening Night Celebration of Romeo and Juliet on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto.

About the Celebration

  • As a member of our alumni community, you are eligible to receive one complimentary ticket and will have the opportunity to purchase one additional ticket at the special anniversary price of $75. Seating is in the orchestra.
  • In order to attend we must have a current email address. If you have not received a ‘Save the Date’ email and would like to attend, please send your email contact information to alumni@national.ballet.ca.
  • The booking window will open on September 1, 2026 and tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive an email on that day with booking instructions.
  • After the performance there will be a reception in the Four Seasons Centre City Room where you can celebrate with your fellow alumni, company members and the audience.

Main Season Ticket Offer

The National Ballet offers alumni 50% off regular priced tickets for all performances the day before the performance at 11:00 am in price zones B – E. 
Please note to receive the Alumni discount you must have completed three years of service as a dancer, orchestra member or staff member of The National Ballet of Canada. 

Help Make History

The National Ballet Archives and the Erik Bruhn Library contain thousands of items that tell the stories of The National Ballet of Canada. The Archives' many collections continue to develop thanks to generous gifts from alumni. If you would like to help preserve the company’s history, we gratefully accept donations of National Ballet related material including:

  • Letters
  • Memoirs/reminiscences/diaries
  • Scrapbooks
  • Photographs/photo albums (labelled)
  • Professional papers
  • Films/videos/audio tapes (labelled)
  • Costumes/costume items
  • Footwear
