Keaton Leier was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and trained at Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and Houston Ballet II. He danced with Atlanta Ballet from 2017 before joining the National Ballet as a Corps de Ballet Member in 2022. He was promoted to Second Soloist in 2024.
Most recently, Keaton made his debut as Florizel in Christopher Wheeldon’s The Winter’s Tale and performed in the world premiere of Procession, choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber. His repertoire includes, Lensky in Onegin, Konstantin Levin in Anna Karenina, Jack/The Knave in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Peter/The Nutcracker and Icicle in The Nutcracker, Paris in Romeo and Juliet and Neapolitan Dance in Swan Lake as well as roles in such ballets as Cinderella, Don Quixote, Giselle, MADDADDAM, Angels’ Atlas, Jewels, Suite en Blanc, Concerto, Symphony in C, Rhapsody, Anima Animus, The Four Seasons, Emma Bovary, Passion, The Collective Agreement and Reverence.
At Atlanta Ballet, Keaton made his debut as Albrecht in Giselle, danced the Prince in Yuri Possokhov’s new Nutcracker and danced in contemporary works, notably pieces by Alexander Ekman.
