Peng-Fei Jiang was born in Anhui, China and trained at the Beijing Dance Academy and the New Zealand School of Dance. Peng-Fei has danced with The Royal New Zealand Ballet and The Hong Kong Ballet. He joined The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2017 and was promoted to First Soloist in 2025.
Most recently, Peng-Fei made his debut as Polixenes in Christopher Wheeldon’s The Winter’s Tale. He has performed roles such as Albrecht in Giselle, Prince Florimund in The Sleeping Beauty, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Rothbart in Swan Lake, an Icicle in The Nutcracker and Raj/The Caterpillar in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Peng-Fei’s repertoire also includes such ballets as Onegin, Cinderella, The Winter’s Tale, Nijinsky, Don Quixote, Anna Karenina, The Merry Widow, MADDADDAM, Emma Bovary, The Four Seasons, The Dream, Emergence, Angels’ Atlas, Jewels, Serenade, Concerto, Suite en Blanc, The Leaves are Fading, Elite Syncopations, Cacti, The Collective Agreement, Bolero, The Dreamers Ever Leave You, Crepuscular and On Solid Ground.
