Digital Tickets

Secure digital tickets are paperless tickets offered through the True Tickets digital ticket platform on your smart mobile device.

When you purchase tickets, you will be sent a link by email to access your digital tickets. Click on the link and log into your National Ballet of Canada account via mytickets.ballet.ca, tap on the performance day and your tickets are ready to be scanned! Please note that the QR code will not display until two hours prior to the performance time.

The reason for the delayed QR code is ensure your tickets are secure and to deter fraudulent ticket resale. Since the QR Code updates, a screenshot or printout of the ticket cannot be accepted. Requiring a live, updated QR Code to be scanned upon entry ensures that only one person will have access to that ticket. Please do not print your tickets.

Yes! Sign in on your Apple mobile device using the instructions above to access your digital tickets. In the bottom left corner of each ticket, tap "Add to Apple Wallet." Please note that Google Wallets are currently unavailable. As soon as this option is available, it will be added to digital wallets.

It’s easy, secure and convenient - simply tap on your tickets, show your QR code and enjoy the performance. Digital tickets are harder to lose or duplicate, plus, no need to print out tickets at home or try to find PDFs on your phone. True Tickets gives instant access to your tickets.

No. Digital tickets are available in your digital ticket wallet, mytickets.ballet.ca, at any time, on any web browser on any device with access to a data plan or wi-fi.

No problem! Free public wifi is available at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts under the name ‘Free WiFi – COC'.

No, physical tickets are still available for those who do not wish to use digital tickets. Mail delivery and Box Office pick up are still available. Please note mail delivery may not be an option if you purchase your tickets close to the performance.

Please visit the courtesy desk or box office when you arrive. We will be happy to print tickets for you.

Yes, it is easy to share tickets so that each attendee has their own ticket before coming to the show. No need to meet outside the theatre! See our FAQ here on how to share tickets.

No, please do not print your digital tickets and bring them to the theatre. Screenshots or printouts cannot be accepted.

Is it within two hours of the performance start time? If not, the QR code has not generated yet. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and refresh the webpage. The dynamic QR code will display again.

Our refreshing QR Code is delivered 2 hours before your performance to protect the security of your tickets and as a deterrent to fraudulent ticket resale. When you share a digital ticket, the person receiving the tickets needs to create a National Ballet of Canada account to accept the tickets, if they don’t have one already. When the digital ticket is accepted, we will deliver the secure ticket to their account with a refreshing QR code  two hours prior to the performance start time, for use at the venue.

To share tickets, click the ‘share’ button at the top of the screen. You will need to enter the name of the person receiving the ticket and then select which ticket or tickets you want to share. At the bottom of the screen, you need to click the button to say you agree to the terms of use and then follow the prompts to confirm your selection. Once you have confirmed, you can share the link to receive tickets via text message or email. Please note if you’re sharing from a desktop computer, you will need to copy the link to forward on directly.

Sharing a digital ticket allows you to securely send tickets from your National Ballet digital ticket wallet to other people. You can choose to send as many of your tickets as you like. Sharing your digital tickets allows everyone attending the event to have their own ticket!

Yes and it takes just a few seconds to create one. If they already have a National Ballet of Canada Account, your guest should use their National Ballet Username/Email Address and Password to log into the digital ticket wallet and accept the shared tickets from you. If they do not have an account, they should click on the REGISTER button after following your shared link to create one and then accept the shared digital tickets.

Once you have accepted the shared tickets, you are now the ticket recipient. If you’re unable to use them, please return them to the person who sent them to you – you will not be able to share them further.

Yes, but we encourage you to use your mobile phone wherever possible, as the process was designed for mobile-first use. If you still prefer to use your desktop, please copy the link offered to you during the sharing process, into an email and send it to your guest. The link will not display the tickets but will redirect your guest to a landing page where they will be able to claim the tickets.
