Dance through time at MAD HOT BALLET with our bold New Wave theme. Embrace the fearless spirit and creative explosion of the early 80s with vibrant, boundary-pushing fashion and a rebellious vitality.

One of the most highly anticipated evenings on Toronto’s social calendar, MAD HOT BALLET draws together dance lovers, trendsetters and culture connoisseurs for a one-night-only celebration of ballet – and a healthy dose of fashion.

Dress your New Wave best and be prepared to spin right round and burn down the house.

With the funds raised, over $1 million each year, gala attendees support the National Ballet’s Community Engagement programmes. Through a variety of initiatives, we work with diverse communities to affirm that dance is for everyone, and that everyone benefits from creative expression, movement and imagination.

Gala Performance and Party

Revellers will be treated to an hour-long performance of works curated by Hope Muir, Joan and Jerry Lozinski Artistic Director, followed by a stylish reception in the lobby featuring hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, activations and perhaps a surprise or two. 

Full repertoire will be announced at a later date but we are excited to announce that partygoers will get an exclusive first glimpse of a company premiere by newly appointed Resident Choreographer David Dawson – only at MAD HOT BALLET!
