Ayano Haneishi was born in Chiba, Japan and trained at L’Ecole de Ballet Pieds Nus in Japan and New National Theatre Ballet, Tokyo in Japan. Ayano danced with Hong Kong Ballet in the Corps de Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada’s Corps de Ballet in 2019.
Most recently, Ayano performed in the North American premiere of Crystal Pite’s Flight Pattern. Her repertoire with the National Ballet includes Celia in Swan Lake and Second and Fifth Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty. She has also danced in Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Cinderella, Anna Karenina, A Streetcar Named Desire, MADDADDAM, Pinocchio, Serenade, Jewels, Symphony in C, Elite Syncopations, Concerto, Suite en Blanc, The Leaves are Fading, Etudes, Chaconne, Tarantella, Angels’ Atlas, UtopiVerse, Emma Bovary and Passion.
