Chase Hanson was born in Stamford, Connecticut and trained at Connecticut Ballet and American Ballet Theatre’s Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis School. He danced as a Trainee with San Francisco Ballet School and danced with Kansas City Ballet before joining The National Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member in 2025.
Chase’s repertoire with the National Ballet includes The Nutcracker, The Winter’s Tale, MADDADDAM, Pinocchio, Emma Bovary, Suite en Blanc and Kismet. His previous repertoire includes Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella, Helgi Tómasson’s Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Nutcracker, Balanchine’s Jewels, Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll & Hyde, Septime Webre’s Alice in Wonderland, Anna Marie Holmes’ Don Quixote, Lila York’s Celts and numerous contemporary works by such choreographers as Davide Occhipinti, Twyla Tharp, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Val Caniparoli and Dana Genshaft.
In 2022, he competed at the Prix de Lausanne, performing Wayne McGregor’s Yugen.
