Josh Hall was born in Syracuse, New York and trained at University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Josh was a member of Charlotte Ballet from 2012 to 2022 and joined the National Ballet as a Corps de Ballet Member in 2022. He was promoted to Second Soloist in 2023.
Most recently, Josh performed in the world premiere of Procession, choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, the North American premiere of Crystal Pite’s Flight Pattern and debuted as Geppetto in Will Tuckett’s Pinocchio. He has danced such roles as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Rothbarth in Swan Lake, Peter/The Nutcracker and Uncle Nikolai in The Nutcracker, Charles Bovary in Emma Bovary, Guy Glover in Frame by Frame, Duchess in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Gamache in Don Quixote. His repertoire includes roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Onegin, Cinderella, Concerto, MADDADDAM, Diamonds, Rubies, Suite en Blanc, Angels’ Atlas, The Four Seasons, Passion, Silent Screen, UtopiVerse, The Collective Agreement, Alleged Dances and Kismet.
