Monika Haczkiewicz

Monika Haczkiewicz was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and trained at Nevada Ballet Theatre, Kwak Ballet Academy, Tara Foy’s Elite Ballet and Nevada School of Dance in Las Vegas, Nevada and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Monika danced with Atlanta Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2019 and was promoted to Second Soloist in 2025.  

Most recently, Monika made her debut as Ren in Wayne McGregor’s MADDADDAM and in La Cigarette in Serge Lifar’s Suite en Blanc, performed in the world premiere of Procession, choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, and the North American premiere of Crystal Pite’s Flight Pattern. Monika’s repertoire with the National Ballet includes Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Tall Girl in Rubies, Mercedes in Don Quixote, Petal in Cinderella, Spanish Princess in Swan Lake, Princess Betsy Tverskaja in Anna Karenina, Madame Bovary in Emma Bovary as well as roles in The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Angels’ Atlas, Serenade, Suite en Blanc, Symphony in C, Anima Animus, The Four Seasons, Elite Syncopations, Concerto, Emma Bovary, Passion, The Collective Agreement, King’s Fall and Kismet.

In 2024, Monika was the recipient of Patron Award of Merit by the Patrons’ Council Committee of The National Ballet of Canada and in 2015, Monika competed in the Youth America Grand Prix where she ranked second place in the senior division in the Las Vegas Semi-Finals.
