Ross Allen was born in Steubenville, Ohio and trained at Arenas Dance Company in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in Pennsylvania and the School of American Ballet in New York City, New York. He joined The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2020 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2022.
Most recently, Ross performed the North American premiere of Crystal Pite’s Flight Pattern and made his debut in Presto in Serge Lifar’s Suite en Blanc. His repertoire includes Spanish Dance in Swan Lake, Wilfred in Giselle and Fred in Grand Mirage. He has also danced in The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Onegin, Anna Karenina, A Streetcar Named Desire, MADDADDAM, Procession, Frame by Frame, Pinocchio, Angels’ Atlas, Rubies, Diamonds, The Leaves are Fading, Rhapsody, Concerto, Elite Syncopations, Emma Bovary and UtopiVerse.
