Anouar Brissel

In the field of opera, Anouar Brissel has created video-scenography over three seasons at the Manetti Shrem Opera Program at Festival Napa Valley and video design for Ariadne auf Naxos (Theater Magdeburg). He has also worked with illustrator Grégoire Pont and director James Bonas on Die Zauberflöte (Göteborg Opera), Snow Queen (Opéra national du Rhin), L’enfant et les sortilèges, L’heure espagnole and Der Mond (Opéra National de Lyon).

Anouar’s video creations have also been showcased in dance including the revival of Maurice Ravel’s Boléro by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Damien Jalet (Grand Théâtre de Genève), A Kiss to the World by Dominique Dumais (Ballett am Rhein), Lady Macbeth by Helen Pickett (Dutch National Ballet) and Mary, Queen Of Scots by Sophie Laplane and directed by James Bonas (Scottish Ballet).

His work was featured at the Royal Albert Hall (BBC Proms, 2023) as well as the Helsinki Music Center (2023) and Royal Festival Hall (2026) in The Rite of Spring performed by Aurora Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Collon.
