Grégoire Pont

A committed advocate for classical music, Grégoire Pont views his work as a means of connecting with a broader audience. He developed a new performance concept, ‘Cinesthetics’, where he animates live to a musical performance and has toured concert halls worldwide collaborating with conductors such as Kazushi Ono, Kent Nagano, Alexandre Bloch, Dalia Stasevska and Stéphane Denève.

Grégoire has received critical acclaim for his operatic work, namely his productions of Carl Orff’s Der Mond, Maurice Ravel’s L’heure espagnole and L’enfant et les sortilèges in collaboration with James Bonas for Opéra National de Lyon. Most recently Grégoire and James have achieved great success with titles including Hans Abrahamsen’s Snow Queen for Opéra national du Rhin and Candide for Welsh National Opera. This season they premiered a production of Die Zauberflöte at Göteborg Opera.

Grégoire also illustrates children’s books, notably Les Excalibrius and has produced animations for television, educational shorts and music videos, most recently collaborating with dancer My’Kal Stromile in New Studios’ Catch Me.
