Jenny Tattersall

Jenny Tattersall trained at The Royal Ballet School from 1989 to 1993 and danced with The Royal Ballet from 1993 to 2002, performing in all the classical repertory and works by Sir Frederick Ashton, Kenneth MacMillan, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, Jacopo Godani, Ashley Page, Will Tuckett, Siobhan Davies and others. As a freelance dancer, she worked with choreographers including Cathy Marston, Fin Walker and Kim Brandstrup. Between 2007 and 2014, she served as resident rehearsal director with Bern Ballett, Switzerland. Since 2014, Jenny has been assisting and re-staging for both Wayne McGregor and Cathy Marston. She assisted Cathy on the creations of Jane Eyre and Victoria (Northern Ballet), Dangerous Liaisons (Royal Danish Ballet), Snowblind and Mrs Robinson (San Francisco Ballet), Lady Chatterley (Les Grand Ballets Canadiens) and The Cellist (The Royal Ballet). She restaged Jane Eyre with American Ballet Theatre in 2019.

In 2015, she assisted Wayne on Woolf Works (The Royal Ballet) which she later restaged at Teatro alla Scala in 2019 and The Royal Ballet in 2023 and 2026. Jenny has also restaged McGregor's Carbon Life (The Royal Ballet), Infra (Royal Danish Ballet) and Borderlands (Munich Ballet). She assisted him on AfteRite (American Ballet Theatre) in 2018, The Dante Project (The Royal Ballet) in 2021, which she later restaged on Paris Opera Ballet in 2023, LORE (Teatro alla Scala) in 2022 and MADDADDAM with The National Ballet of Canada in 2022 which she later restaged on The Royal Ballet in 2024. Most recently, she assisted Wayne on Jocasta’s Line (Norwegian National Opera & Ballet) and Quantum Souls (The Royal Ballet).
