Owen Belton

Owen Belton lives in Vancouver and graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1993 with a degree in Fine and Performing Arts with a concentration in music, studying acoustic, electroacoustic and computer music composition. He has been composing for dance for over 30 years, as well as creating sound design and music for live theatre and film for the past 17 years. He has also made scores for circus and indoor and outdoor film installations. Owen has created pieces for Paris Opera Ballet, Staatstheater Nürnberg, The National Ballet of Canada, Stuttgart Ballet, Ballets de Monte-Carlo as well as Nederlands Dans Theatre and Kidd Pivot. He has collaborated with Crystal Pite for over 30 years.
