Simon Rossiter is a Toronto-based lighting and scenery designer. Specializing in lighting for dance, he’s had the privilege of collaborating on more than 300 unique designs with a wide range of companies including Citadel + Compagnie, Dancemakers, The National Ballet of Canada, Côté Danse and Toronto Dance Theatre. Choreographers he has worked with include Peggy Baker, Nova Bhattacharya, Robert Binet, Guillaume Côté, Robert Desrosiers, Christopher House, Hanna Kiel, James Kudelka, Laurence Lemieux, Robert Lepage, Tedd Robinson, Heidi Strauss and Jera Wolfe. Simon is the Director of Design at Fall for Dance North and his designs have been honoured with 11 Dora Mavor Moore Nominations, receiving the award three times, and he was twice nominated for the Ontario Arts Council’s Pauline McGibbon Award. Simon also serves as the Business Agent for the Associated Designers of Canada, IATSE Local ADC659. |
