We Not I

Architectural practice We Not I made its Royal Ballet debut in 2015, designing the second movement, Becomings, of Wayne McGregor’s first full-length ballet, Woolf Works. The acclaimed production received Best New Dance Production at the Olivier Awards.

We Not I are the designers of Studio Wayne McGregor located in the Here East campus in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London and the groundbreaking landmark 2026 exhibition, Infinite Bodies, at Somerset House London. Their visually stunning designs for Wayne’s three-act co-production MADDADDAM with The National Ballet of Canada and The Royal Ballet received a Dora Mavor Moore Award Nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Design.

The collaborative network We Not I actively counters the misconception that architecture is the work of a single person. Their clients include the Victoria and Albert Museum, English National Ballet, The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation and Christopher Kane. We Not I has been heralded as “the future of design” by The Independent.
