Albjon Gjorllaku was born in London, England and graduated from The Royal Ballet School in London, England. In 2017, upon graduating, he joined Orlando Ballet before joining The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2019 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2022.
Most recently, Albjon made his debut as Fox in The Nutcracker and performed in the world premiere of Procession, choreographed by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber. His repertoire includes Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Neapolitan Dance in Swan Lake, Sancho Panzo in Don Quixote, Grant Munroe in Frame by Frame and The Frog in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. He has also danced in Swan Lake, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Onegin, Anna Karenina, A Streetcar Named Desire, MADDADDAM, Angels’ Atlas, Suite en Blanc, The Leaves are Fading, Rhapsody, Passion, Concerto, Grand Mirage, UtopiVerse, Emma Bovary, Alleged Dances and Desperate Drama of Red.
In 2023, Albjon received the Patron Award of Merit, was awarded the RBC Emerging Artist Award in 2022 and received the Royal Ballet Graduate Award for Progress and Endeavour in 2017.
