Emma Ouellet was born in London, Ontario and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School. She joined The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2020 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2022.
Most recently, Emma made her debut in the North American premiere of Sol León and Paul Lightfoot’s Silent Screen. Her repertoire includes Sheep and Bee in The Nutcracker as well as roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Onegin, A Streetcar Named Desire, MADDADDAM, Frame by Frame, Angels’ Atlas, Diamonds, Emeralds, Serenade, Symphony in C, Suite en Blanc, Concerto, Passion, islands, Emma Bovary, UtopiVerse and Alleged Dances.
In 2023, Emma received the Patron Award of Merit. In 2022, Emma received the RBC Emerging Artist Award, in 2020, she was the recipient of the Jeffery Kirk Award, in 2019 the Peter Dwyer Award and the Marijan Bayer Award in 2015.
