Hannah Galway was born in Comox, British Columbia and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School. Hannah joined The National Ballet of Canada as an RBC Apprentice in 2017 and was promoted to First Soloist in 2024.
Hannah’s repertoire includes the title roles in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Emma Bovary, the Other Stepsister and Blossom in Cinderella, Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, Princess Betsy Tverskaja in Anna Karenina, Amour in Don Quixote and the Bee in The Nutcracker. Her repertoire includes roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Onegin, The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, Angels’ Atlas, Silent Screen, MADDADDAM, The Merry Widow, The Dream, The Second Detail, Passion, Emergence, Serenade, Jewels, The Four Seasons, Elite Syncopations, Paz de la Jolla, Paquita, islands, Adieu, Frame by Frame, The Dreamers Ever Leave You, Skyward, King’s Fall and Desperate Drama of Red.
Hannah was awarded the Dancers First Award in 2025, the Patron Award of Merit in 2020 and 2019 and the RBC Emerging Artist Award in 2018.
